The NFL (National Football League) is the most popular professional American football league in the world. It consists of 32 teams divided into two conferences, the National Football Conference (NFC) and the American Football Conference (AFC). The NFL has been in existence since 1920, and is the highest level of professional football in the United States.
The XFL (Xtreme Football League) is a professional American football league that was founded in 2020 by Vince McMahon, the chairman and CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment. The XFL is a single-entity league, meaning that all teams are owned by the same entity. The XFL has eight teams and is divided into two conferences, the Eastern and Western. The league is structured differently than the NFL, with a 10-week regular season, two semifinal games and a championship game.
The main difference between the NFL and the XFL is the level of play. The NFL is the highest level of professional football in the United States, and the XFL is a lower level of professional football. The NFL is also much more established, with a long history of success and a deep fan base. The XFL is still in its infancy and is still trying to establish itself as a viable professional football league. Additionally, the NFL has a more traditional structure, with a 16-game regular season, playoffs and a championship game, while the XFL has a 10-week regular season and a single-elimination championship game.
